How much does it cost to sell tickets and collect donations? Are there fees?

Sendo does not charge an additional fee for using our Sell Tickets or Collect Donations feature.

Zelle Fees

If you collect ticket fees via Zelle, you will not be charged a fee from Zelle. When collecting ticket funds via Zelle, you will need to enter the ticket funds into the Sendo system manually.

Venmo Fees

If you collect ticket fees via Venmo, you will not be charged a fee from Venmo. When collecting ticket funds via Venmo, you will need to enter the ticket funds into the Sendo system manually.

Paypal Fees

If you sell tickets via PayPal and credit card, you may be charged fees by PayPal. This is dependent upon PayPal's Terms & Conditions for your account type. Paypal's STANDARD fees are 2.2%-2.89% + $.30 per transaction. View PayPal's current rates.

501(c)(3) companies may get a reduced rate if they are enrolled in Paypal's Giving Fund. Please contact PayPal for more information on reduced rates. 

Event guests do not get charged Paypal fees for purchasing tickets. If you'd like to pass PayPal fees onto your guests, please increase the price of your ticket accordingly.

The API that we have set up with PayPal does not allow us to use the 'Friends and Family' setting for ticket sale purchases. The purchase is designated as 'Goods and Services'. With this setting, you have seller Paypal protection. PayPal Seller Protection will protect your ticket sales, minimize claims and chargebacks, and protect against fraud. Your buyer is also protected with PayPal protection.

Funds will be immediately deposited to your PayPal account when a ticket is purchased via PayPal or Credit Card.

If you do not want to accept payment using the PaPal API, you can accept payments manually from your guests.
